Kite the reef – 1000 km world record attempt to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease

Shared from the KA website:

This week  10 extraordinary kitesurfers will cross the Great Barrier Reef covering 1,000km in 10 days.  The goal is to fund a cure for Motor Neurone Disease (ALS).

Kite The Reef is a kitesurfing world record breaking expedition to raise funds to cure Motor Neurone Disease (MND) at the Macquarie University Motor Neurone Disease Research Centre. The participants themselves and sponsors are covering all the costs of the expedition. The money raised goes to fund MND research (essential equipment, vital reagents, and talented researcher salaries) to make MND history.

Daily updates from the team are available on their facebook site – Kite The Reef on Facebook.

For donations and further information about the participants, the motivation and the journey head over the Kite The Reef Website.
