KSA Xmas social event, live music and safety night at the GSC

We will be holding our annual christmas drinks together with the safety night at the GSC again on the 1st of December.

This time, we will run a demo pack up from the beach (weather permitting) but best of all, we will be having a live acoustic guitarist, pizza and cheap as drinks to go with it. It will be super fun, so bring your family, your friend and all your kite buddies.

Brush up on your summer safety, ask those questions you’ve been getting round to asking by meeting some of SA’s experienced kiteboarders.

Kiteboarding in the Youth Olympics

Kiteboarding is in the Youth Olympic Games which is awesome! This means the best kids in Australia have the opportunity to head to Buenos Aires to race against kids from across the globe.

The racing will be on Twin Tip boards in a boardercross format – this means hectic jumps and fun! In preparation we are planning a bunch of opportunities for kids (and young adults) to get out on the water and practice their skills.

Are you an intermediate – advanced kiteboarder under the age of 18 or the parent of one? Answer THIS short survey to help us know how to plan and get you involved!

KSA safety night

This Friday night the 14th of October at 7pm, KSA is holding another Safety Night at the Grange Sailing Club!

This is a unique opportunity to have a discussion with like-minded kiteboarders about any safety concerns or experiences you’ve had. We encourage newcomers to the sport as well as old hacks to come along, share you experiences and get a feel for what others might do in those situations. Maybe you’ve had a scare and want to stop it from happening again. Maybe you’ve just lost a bit of sleep over something you think could happen. Or maybe you’ve been around the traps for years and would like to impart some of your wisdom on fresh ears.

After last year’s success, we will run a general info session together with an unofficial CPR awareness session. We’ll cover some info on how to help out your fellow kiters when they get in trouble. No matter how long you have been kiting, there is always something new to learn or someone new to meet.

As always, it’s an open format, so we encourage new-comers to ask questions and experienced kiters to share their knowledge, So bring your, friends, family, kites and appetite cause it will be a fun sesh! This is a great chance to meet local crew and share the stoke of our awesome sport!

please RSVP at

KSA will be putting on Pizzas again and both KSA Members and Non-Members are encouraged to get along!

Happy riding, spread the word, and see you there!
