To our newbies of the sport, KSA is really big on just having fun and participation. Essentially, if you are up and riding, the amateur division is for you. There are always stacks of prizes to be won, with previous years stoke awards winners walking away with items like a new board’s, kite’s or harness’s, all just for having a go and sharing the stoke! To our seasoned riders in the Open and junior divisions, we always love seeing you guys and girls battle it out, inspiring the rest of us mere mortals who can only dream of landing some of those sick handle passes and kiteloops. In saying that, the Open Mens, Open Womens and Juniors is always hotly contested, and with so many new faces on the water it’s shaping up to be a super fun comp! To the oldies (lol), yeah im looking at you Masters and Legends! Well… we are yet again looking forward to seeing those silky smooth old school moves which you have perfected over the years, showing all the youngens just how its done! Seriously, legends, we at KSA all hope we can still kite when we are 50+, stoked!!

In summary, the kiting crew here in SA are friendly, super helpful and welcome all that come along and support our events.  The BBQ will be cranked all weekend (food passes will be available for purchase for non-competitors) and the club rooms will be open for a quiet drink and to watch all the action throughout the weekend.  For further details stay tuned to the KSA facebook group, KSA website or join the State Freestyle Titles event on the KSA Facebook page. So, block it out in your diary and get practicing those moves for what should be a super fun weekend!

See you on the water!
