In 2020 Kiteboarding South Austrlalia Freestyle State Titles are being held at Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula. Only a 2hr drive from Adelaide, this location will be a breath of fresh air for the event, moving the competition away from Grange for the first time in 5 years.

Through this partnership, if you book accomodation at Wallaroo Holiday Park for Friday 7th of February you’ll get Saturday 8th of February for free! This offer is for competitors only, so sign up, bring the family and enjoy and awesome weekend away! Note: You will be required to quote your KA membership number when you book accommodation and it must be paid for over the phone at the time of booking.
We have also partnered with North Beach Kitchen (you guessed it, also located right on the shore of North Beach!) who will be providing lunch for competitors on Saturday and Sunday, and also hosting a massive presentation night on Saturday night.
KSA would like to acknowledge the generous support of the Copper Coast Council, who have helped facilitate this event, making it the biggest event we’ve ever run!

To our newbies of the sport, KSA is really big on just having fun and participation. Essentially, if you are up and riding, the amateur division is for you. There are always stacks of prizes to be won, with previous years stoke awards winners walking away with items like a new board’s, kite’s or harness’s, all just for having a go and sharing the stoke! To our seasoned riders in the Open and junior divisions, we always love seeing you guys and girls battle it out, inspiring the rest of us mere mortals who can only dream of landing some of those sick handle passes and kiteloops. In saying that, the Open Mens, Open Womens and Juniors is always hotly contested, and with so many new faces on the water it’s shaping up to be a super fun comp! To the oldies (lol), yeah im looking at you Masters and Legends! Well… we are yet again looking forward to seeing those silky smooth old school moves which you have perfected over the years, showing all the youngens just how its done! Seriously, legends, we at KSA all hope we can still kite when we are 50+, stoked!!
In summary, the kiting crew here in SA are friendly, super helpful and welcome all that come along and support our events. The BBQ will be cranked all weekend (food passes will be available for purchase for non-competitors) and the club rooms will be open for a quiet drink and to watch all the action throughout the weekend. For further details stay tuned to the KSA facebook group, KSA website or join the State Freestyle Titles event on the KSA Facebook page. So, block it out in your diary and get practicing those moves for what should be a super fun weekend!
Crew its time to get geared up and ready for the first 2019 KSA event: the CABRINHA & KSA STATE WAVE TITLES is ON! lets get pumped!!
Thanks to Kiteboarding Australia in partnership with Cabrinha, the KSA State Wave titles is now part of the Cabrinha National Wave Series. Everyone is encouraged to participate, and this event has a division to suit all riding abilities. So if your comfortable riding in surf conditions, get involved, have a crack and most of all have fun. ITS ALL ABOUT THE STOKE!!!

We are also aiming to go electronic to make the process more streamlined and fair. As this competition is a wave riding event, you are judged on your wave selection and your execution of manoeuvers on that wave. More specifically, the rules will follow the National Kitesurfing Series Rule book, which can be found on the KA website https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/piano.revolutionise.com.au/site/jhktyuhcfmho4zd9.pdf
